Our Programs
LevelUp is a training program that gives creatives an introduction and foundation to the fields of design and creativity. The LevelUp program offers mentorship in branding, photography, website development, and design. We also mentor students in graphic design, motion graphics, print making, and design. Upon successful completion of this program, creatives are able to join the Beyond Creativity team as project-based freelancers, interns, or full-time employees.The program is two months in length and has two phases;
- Creative Training – which provides foundational knowledge and skills for working in the creative industry.
- Design/Project skilling – which assesses effectiveness while also emphasising professional development and marketplace readiness.
During the first phase, participants begin as creative trainees with 1 week of creative foundations, followed by 2 weeks of core training in a selected skill set. Next, trainees will become Intern Designers and begin a 3 week core project where they are mentored by industry leading creatives while working on a community project or building their Portfolio. Participants/creatives receive a certificate upon successful completion of the program.
Graphics Design
This course provides students with skills and competencies in Adobe software required for effective work practices in this sector. Students will have a deep understanding of typography, colour theory, photos, layout, blocking, and other design theory skills.
Website Design/Development
Our web development course will bring you up to speed on a variety of creative and technical skills for planning and building a website. You will gain a comprehensive understanding of web design and development, grow your career opportunities, and enhance your understanding of web development tools. In today’s global market place, it’s not enough to just have a digital presence: an optimised, functional, interactive website is a must. Learn everything about a website: the content, the way it looks, and the way it works. This is determined by the website design.
Photography & Videography
Whether you are interested in creating still images (photography) or moving images (film), you’ll need to learn a mix of creative and technical skills: how the lens can be used as a tool for storytelling, specialist and experimental camera techniques, editing, and post-production. In the digital age, filming and photography have become effortless. We can use photos and videos to express ourselves and communicate with one another. Learn how to tell the story that we don’t always tell.
